I am having issues with game passI recently swapped C drives as my old one was failing, swapped to WD black 500Gb. Since doing so I have been unable to install games from the Xbox app or Microsoft store even on games that I have purchased and not just with game pass games. Each time I receive the same error code 0x8700017, sometimes it's different but this error code is the main one. I have already watched YouTube videos and spoken with support about the issue to no avail. Un and reinstall gaming services, restart windows repair and restart the xbox app and MS store. swap accounts, Every othe

New Xbox App Updates for Insiders

We’re always working on new updates and features to make Xbox a great place for gaming, and this month we have several great things for our Insiders to start testing. Starting with a conversation I had with Partner Director of Experiences Jason Beaumont on updates you can test right now as an Xbox Insider:

Rolling out now, the Xbox app will help you predict how well a game will run on your PC. You can see the performance prediction for Game Pass games in the detail section for each game.

Select what folder you want to default install select games to

With access to your game folders, more games are now moddable

There is even more to try! If you’re not already an Xbox Insider, here is how you can join now:

Launch the Xbox app and click on the Xbox Insider icon at the top to launch the Xbox Insider Hub.

Go to Previews, then select Windows Gaming and Join.

Coming Soon to Xbox Game Pass in July Xbox

Hey, Xbox Game Pass members! If you didn’t catch them on Twitter, it’s time for our IRL patch notes. Updates include: A major buff for The Sun. There is a new debuff: Sunburn, where overexposure to The Sun will cause damage over time and limited mobility. A new item has been added named Sunscreen that gives you a temporary resistance to Sunburn. The seasonal event Vacation was added, giving players a significant stress resistance when applied. New items have been added in the tailor shops like Swim Trunks and Sleeveless Cloth Armor. Lastly, Grilled Meat is more readily available at vendors.
