Windows 10: Xbox Game Bar wont let me record or screenshot

This problem started a few months ago. Game bar had almost always worked, sometimes it sent an error message when i tried to record my gameplay, but after a few more clicks it started recording. I dont exactly know when it stopped working, maybe around mid feburary or somewhere earlier this year, but xbox game bar does not enable me to press any of the recording or screenshotting buttons when i boot it up. My guess is that its not picking up that im playing a game, as it doesnt show what game im playing when i open it, but despite this, the little bar on top still shows the game that i had las

I cant record or take screenshots using xbox game bar. The icons are all greyed out and I cannot interact with them. I have triend various fixes on this website: Redirecting.

However, none of them worked.

In addition, you can also check if the Microphone for game bar is enabled under privacy settings.

1. Go to Settings (press Windows +
   I key together) > Privacy.
   
2. On the left hand pane scroll down and look for
   Microphone.
   
3. Toggle Allow apps to access Microphone
   to ON.
   
4. Under Choose which Microsoft Store app can access your Microphone toggle Xbox game bar to
   ON.
   
5. Restart the game bar.
