Windows 10: Xbox App won't launch after fresh install of Windows 11 0x80070057

The app tries to update itself when I launch it, but fails with "Try the update againSorry, something went wrong. Try it again, or click the error code for more info.Error code: 0x80070057"with a "TRY AGAIN" option that never works.Troubleshooting so far:Reading about the error code, which assumes an SSD issue and suggests: 1. Get Windows 10 App won´t launch

Hello all,

I hope someone can help me. Finally after a lot of manual updates, my Get Windows 10 app is showing in the taskbar.

However, now when I left click it, right click Get Windows 10, right click Check your Update status, the app launches and immediately closes down again.

The options Go to Windows Update and Get to know Windows 10 do work.

Just the app won´t launch. Anyone ideas?

XBox app crashes on launch in Windows 10

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app on your computer and check.
Follow the steps provided below.

• 
  Type Windows Powershell in search box.
  
• 
  Right click on Windows Powershell and select
  Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Copy and paste the following command.
  
  • get-appxpackage *Microsoft.XboxApp* | remove-appxpackage
• 
  Press Enter key.
  

After uninstalling the Xbox app, I suggest you to download and install the app again and check.

Xbox app closes on launch

• Has any new software or hardware been added recently? No.
• Did you also change any settings prior to this issue? No.
• Is there any error message? None.
• For the Xbox app issue, have you also tried the suggestions posted by Syed Md Bilal in this thread?
  Quite a few people found it helpful. - I did try this (for the Xbox and Photos app) and it made absolutely no difference.

I'd appreciate any additional suggestions. I'm still unable to use either the Xbox or Photos app. I'd really like to use them.
