    Hi Experts, I have installed the WSUS role on a Windows 2019 Datacentre and need a few details from you.


    1. What's the ideal size of the drive where I am planning to download my updates as I have seen it's already consuming 80 GB and when I add more it's eating up that space as well.


    2. I have downloaded the Microsoft Report Viewer 2012 but when I try to run it it says you cant as you need Microsoft Systems CLR type for SQL Server 2012 and I am not able to find that on Microsoft Website for download, I have searched and got a few links but looks like the links are broken or the download is removed.


    Could you please assist.

    WSUS - Servers not reporting in

    Hi All,

    I am busy with WSUS in a lab running off my laptop. Details are as follows:

    1. 1 x Domain Controller running Windows Server 2019
    2. 1 x WSUS Server running Windows Server 2019
    3. 1 x Windows Server 2016 VM

    I've installed WSUS on #2 and it's busy downloading updates I have selected. However, try as I might, I cannot get the other 2 servers to report in. Further information:

    • All firewalls are disabled;
    • I can ping via name/IP successfully;
    • I can successfully run nslookup;
    • I cannot browse the http://servername:8530 site (in spite of generating the SS;
    • 2 GPOs were created (one for Test, one for PRD) and linked/enabled on the domain;
    • WSUS Service running on the other 2 VMs.

    What can I check to ensure that this works? The GPOs are applied, but do I need OUs within AD itself and the servers placed in those, or is leaving them in the default container fine for now? Like I said, it's for test purposes, but I obviously need to get
    it running for further trials/tests I'd like to do.

    Incorrect System Report

    Thank you for your suggestion.

    I have run the Windows Memory Diagnostic and the report indicated that no memory problems were detected. Status remains the same - 2GB of RAM instead of 6GB.

    I do not have any obvious performance issues on this system. I have another Windows 10 installation on a secondary laptop and the system specs are reported accurately on that installation.

    Hi,

    I suggest you to follow the below steps in order to change the default image viewer to Paint.

    • In search,
    • Type Default Programs.
    • Check whether Windows Photo Viewer is listed in the list.
    • Left click on the photo viewer and select the option paint.
