Windows 10: WslRegisterDistribution failed with error: 0x80040302 Error: 0x80040302 null.

After I installed the WSL2 function correctly, I tried to use the Microsoft Store to install the Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS version, but the following terminal message popped up: Installing, this may take a few minutes...WslRegisterDistribution failed with error: 0x80040302Error: 0x80040302 nullPress any key to continue...I tried other distributions, and the error messages were the same.I tried to turn off the virtualization function of Windows and reinstall WSL2, but I could not completely remove or reinstall the WSL function, so this problem is still not solved.Possibly useful information: I used

Whenever I try to install any Linux distro on WSL I get this error:

This is my setup:

Versione WSL: 0.67.6.0
Versione kernel: 5.15.62.1
Versione WSLg: 1.0.44
Versione MSRDC: 1.2.3401
Versione Direct3D: 1.606.4
Versione DXCore: 10.0.25131.1002-220531-1700.rs-onecore-base2-hyp
versione Windows: 10.0.22621.521

The Ubuntu distro is not listed in the installed distro:

wsl --list --all

Sottosistema Windows per Linux non ha distribuzioni installate.

Usare 'wsl.exe --list --online' per elencare le distribuzioni disponibili e 'wsl.exe --install ' per l'installazione.

È anche possibile installare le distribuzioni visitando il Microsoft Store: Install WSL

Error code: Wsl/WSL_E_DEFAULT_DISTRO_NOT_FOUND

Anyway if I try to install Ubuntu I get this message:

wsl --install -d Ubuntu

Ubuntu è gi installato. (Ubuntu is alreday installed)

An then I get this message:

and here it stops.

Hype-V is installed without adding any virtual machine or virtual switch in the control panel.

Is someone having any clue?

WslRegisterDistribution failed with error: 0x80004005

I got the same error with Ubuntu.

On Stackoverflow I found this:
error 0x80004005 when install bash on ubuntu on windows 10

It mentions special characters in the windows user name, as well as changing page sizes for the hard drive.

I tried that, as well as restarting LxssManager, re-enabled Linux-Subsystem, and all with reboots in between, nothing changed.

With openSuse 42 I'm getting a different error (Error: 0x80040302), and I see the error right away. With Ubuntu it takes some minutes.

My machine is in a domain, so some group policies are applied. I have no idea if this might be related.

 

ie error null?

After some research into the ie error windows cannot null where all my bookmarks and links give a blank page and this error then load, sometimes several times.. and yes as a workaround I am using firefox.

Can I remove this component from windows?
