Windows 10: Wrong Network interface assignment

Hallo dear community,I have a Linux server with 2 NICs 1Gb/5Gb und a Win10 Workstation with 2 NICs 1Gb/5Gb. Both are connected with a home router by it's 1Gb NIC.There is a direct, without any router, without a getaway setting connection between them, using their 5Gb NICs.I've set up a route and iface metric for my NICs in Windows: Get-NetRoute -DestinationPrefix "192.168.100.0/24" ifIndex DestinationPrefix NextHop RouteMetric ifMetric PolicyStore ------- ----------------- -------

and the vm network is set up as NAT which i believe is the default, i dont remember ever changing it.

 

Wireless Network

Thanks for trying the steps again. It's now clear that the problem is on your router. To reconnect your laptop to the network, we suggest that you set or specify the channel of your wireless network. If you can access your router's user interface, set the
channel to either channel 1, 6, or 11. Once done, remove your WiFi network from your preferred network list, then reconnect.

Help needed with simple wired network

Step one- Connect all PC's to router, and then the router to the modem. PC's go to router by the ports labeled "1-4" on the back of the router. WAN port goes to router. Power up all network equipment, and then systems.
Step two- Power on the computer connected to port one. Go into router settings at 192.168.0.1 and configure internet, dyndns, firewall, etc.
Step three- Go to "network set up wizard" in windows. (Network places- network set up wizard). The rest is self explanatory.
Step four- right click on each drive and printer you want to share, and then configure sharing preferences. Should be easy enough.
Step five- right click my computer, and the select "map network drive". Using the network address for each piece of hardware you shared, assign network drive letters.
