"Hello Microsoft Support Team,I am experiencing a critical issue with a large word document approximately 500 pages. This document contains numerous images with accompanying text descriptions. I have been working on this document for several months.Recently, I discovered that images are missing from about 400 pages of the document. Instead of the images, I see the error message: 'The Image part with relationship ID rid 197 Was not found in the file.' Interestingly, images on the pages before and after the affected section are still present.Here are some additional details:Word Version: Micro

This error message can occur due to a corrupted file caused by physical damage to the hard drive sectors, system crash or a virus.

• Are you trying to convert a PDF file into a Word document?
• When did this issue started?
• Where there any changes made on your computer prior to this happening?
• Does this only happen on PDF files?

My friend was using Microsoft office/word 2016 to finish an assessment.


He was modifying and filling the word document that was on a portable hard drive attached to his laptop,,,,,means he didn't copy the document from the external hard drive to his laptop.


he ended up with embedded image to be replaced with :

Google didn't reveal many solutions and I did try "Open and Repair" solution but no joy
