  2. OneDrive Sign In

Hello TonyPH100, my name is Irisdiel and I am an independent advisor.

I suggest you follow the instructions down below.

    Method 1:

    1) Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager > Windows Credentials

    2) Remove all OneDrive for Business Credentials listed under Generic Credentials

    3) Re-sign in and check the result.

    Method 2:

Click Start, and then click Search.

Type regedit, and then click the returned command.

In the Registry Editory, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa

Double-click DisableCredMan to open an Edit window.

Change the value data to 0, and then click OK.

Your Microsoft account needs you to sign in again-recent credentials

The 'recent credentials sign in' message popped up in my laptop action centre.
    Nothing had been changed.
So I signed into my Ms Account to the credential section.
The email address in the drop down list was not current. The address was changed Jan 2015 and gmail has been in use on the laptop since that date. So my choice was to click on 'nothing applies' and do the next steps.
The sign in required an alternate email address. Fortunately I have one handy. This security routine has a 30 day wait period.
Now I have found the tutorial 37536 illustrating deleting extra accounts but I don't think I can do this because the security section is not available for 30 days. I had no idea this control panel item was available but only the tutorial informed what could be done with this data.
It is amazing that 1.5 yr has gone by and the old email is still in there as a credential. I suppose after 30 days I can delete the hurontel address. I found it odd that the old email address was on the drop down list for a contact. Its a dead end address.
Now that I have made the credential 'visit' can I assume the hurontel address is gone from MS records and I can delete it in the control panel credential section and not have to sign back into the MSAccount credential section because the correct address is listed?

Won't sign into OneDrive credentials keep changing on sign in

"OneDrive isn't signed in" Error message

Good day! I'm Raniel, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

If your account is also signed in on your OneDrive desktop app, can you perform the steps below:

    1. Open Control Panel and go to User Accounts > Credential Manager

    2. Click on Windows Credentials and check if OneDrive is on the list of credentials then remove it.

    3. Right-click on the OneDrive icon on your taskbar and select Settings > Account > Unlink this PC > Unlink this account

    4. Try to sign-in again and check if the issue persist.

If the issue persist, you may try to perform a reset of your OneDrive. Please see:

    I hope this helps.
