    Wireless display keeps loading then stops or says can't connect


    I try connecting my computer to my laptop and it doesn't work however, it used to work, but it now tells me it's unable to connect, and if it ever does try to connect the laptop with the wireless display app, it just keeps loading and then stops.Both computers support Miracast, and both computers are being connected by Ethernet RJ45; there is no VPN or firewall.My phone connects to the laptop wirelessly, but my computer doesn't, so it would mean that there is an issue with the computer that is trying to connect to the laptop. I have restarted both computers and updated graphics drivers and c

    For us to provide a solution suited to your wireless display concern, we need additional information. Can you answer the questions below?

    • Were there any changes made to your device prior to the issue?
    • Did you update your Windows?
    • Have you tried other troubleshooting steps so far?

    In the meantime, we suggest updating your wireless driver and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:


    • Open Device Manager.

    • Look for Network adapterand click it to expand.

    • Select the driver then right-click on it and select Properties.

    • Under Driver tab, click the Update Driver button to update the driver.

    I realize the inconvenience you are facing.; Let me help you in resolving the issue.

    This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ outdated display adapter drivers after upgrading to Windows 10. Try the below and check if it helps.

    Step 1: Uninstall the Wireless Display Driver.

    • Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapter.
    • Right on the Display Adapter and click on
      Uninstall.
    • Restart the computer.

    Step 2: Update
    Wireless Display Driver.

    • Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapter.
    • Right on the Display Adapter and click on
      Update driver software.

    Hello Phillip,

    Did you notice any changes on your PC prior to the issue? I suggest that you follow the steps outlined in this support article:
    Troubleshooting Wireless Display Adapters.

    Since updating drivers did not work, in addition, you can try to reset the Wireless Adapter.

    1. On the adapter, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
    2. When the message " Ready to connect "shows, open the
      Action Center.
    3. Select Connect, and in the list of displays, select
      Microsoft
      Wireless Display Adapter.
