  1. Windows updates are taking up ALL my storage

I have 58 gb of storage on my computer. I have 0 games and I've deleted nearly all of my files; the remaining files are just a few small MB. So, why don't I have any storage?? Microsoft updates are taking up EVERY SINGLE INCH of my storage. I can't even download games b/c I don't have enough storage that I should have. It used to be fine. But in the past few months these updates have just been tearing up my storage space and I'm so upset about it. I'm saving up for a MacBook now. What updates can I delete to free up some space?? I'd like to have a few games I can play. Fix this Microsoft.

    :)

geforce experience takes an age to load..

Well that's why I asked. Mine is on SSD and takes 11 seconds. Your list of games will not appear if it has not checkd for updated suggested settings for awhile until it checks.

When it says it is refreshing the game list, it is checking, because NVIDIA periodically updates suggested settings. Plus it will look for those for new games you have installed.

So, the less it is run, the slower it will be.

    Does Windows Update Take 10GB?

Richtclick con "My PC" (Or "My desktop" and "Properties", it tells you if your system has SP1.

    1) In your case, I would just reinstall al new (not update or repair), no need to killdisk.

    2) Make sure your system is perfectly healthy (Device manager), if needed, install mobo, chipset and SDD drives.

    3) Run Winupdate, it will install updates step by step, not 200 at once.

    4) Check each step before proceding to next step. Read WinUpdate error messages early (also in Event viewer/System filter by error and warning).

    Hi George,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

    • Did you make any changes in BIOS?

    • Are you getting any error message?
I suggest you to update Storage controller drivers and check if it helps.

    Steps 1:

    • Press Windows key + X.

    • Select Device manager.

    • Expand Storage controller.

    • Right click on the driver and Update the drivers.

Steps 2: Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue
is with device. Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
