Hello. I have been having an issue with my Windows Update and Microsoft Store for quite some time, longer than I thought I did honestly. At first I thought it was malware so I went through several apps to find and remove them, TrojanKiller, HitmanPro, Malwarebytes online and in safe mode, BitDefender, etc. All of them found and removed the malware from my PC. I cannot update my Windows, and I cannot download/update any apps from the Microsoft Store. The Windows Update screen appears black, and will load forever until the "Something went wrong. Try to reopen Settings later." message appears.

Run system file checker.

Open Powershell admin by right-clicking the Windows logo on the taskbar then click Windows Powershell (admin).

On Powershell(admin), copy, paste, and enter each command below:

sfc /scannow

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Once done restart the PC and check.
