  1. Windows showing not activated after I tried changing the BIOS settings on my MCI laptop...

I tried changing the BIOS settings on my MCI laptop from Legacy to UEFI to see if I could upgrade from Windows 10 to 11. After that when I tried to reboot, my laptop kept going back to the BIOS settings, it would not reboot. I then changed the BIOS setting back to Legacy and it then rebooted into Windows. Now I get an error code: 0xC004F211 saying that the hardware of my device has changed and Windows is not activated.I tried the Troubleshoot option, but it says we weren't able to activate Windows on this device. Please help me to reactivate Windows.

    :)

HD Sentinel Test Sound Alert flags MCI error

Hi, as you will no doubt have discovered after a few simple searches, MCI is:
    Media Control Interface - Wikipedia
MCI - Windows applications | Microsoft Docs

The message is about a sound, so it appears the program is having trouble communicating via the API.

This may indicate corruption in Windows, or something else.

    I suggest you start here:
    Hard Disk Sentinel support
as the program appears to be licensed.

I have v5.29 on build 1809 (thanks for the detail) and no problem setting a sound alert, so it would seem it's a problem on that PC.

There doesn't seem to be a reference on their site to MCI, so you'd need to ask a support question.

If they reply the problem must be with the Windows installation, post back and hopefully someone will help.

Restoring and Activating Windows after changing Bios chip?

I have an HP Laptop that originally came with a Windows 8.1. I updated to Windows 10 recently.
However, I was working on my laptop and suddenly it shut downed and didn't boot up again. I tried to restore my bios with the firmware provided in HP site, it didn't work. one of my friends suggested to change my bios chip. I changed the bios chip.
It booted properly but it was very slow, so I decided to restore it with HP Restore to Factory Setting option (Pressing F11 while booting). It formatted the hard disk and then restarted and it said, "The process stopped". So I tried my HP Recovery Disk, HP Recovery tool said that my Activation code doesn't match.
    What Should I do?
