Windows 10: Windows Security keeps running audits that make a notification sound every few minutes on...

I turned off all the notifications for windows security, but this sound keeps happening every few minutes and corresponds to these events on the log.I have no idea what to try to get the noises to stop - they are driving me crazy. All of my systems are up to date.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

About 300 security audit messages per minute

I am running Windows 11 home on my desktop PC and I am experiencing a huge number of security audit messages - typically 300 per second. My laptop (on which I am writing this typically only experiences about 50 per minute). On the desktop, over a 3 minute period there were about 900 messages. These were message 4624 (about 65), 4648 (5), 4672 (136), 4688 (10), 4738 (2), 4798 (29), 4799 (9), 5058 (186), 5059 (6), 5061 (185), 5379 (289) and a few other messages. I have been experiencing BSOD issues when the PC is apparently doing little or nothing except these audits. Co-Pilot suggested getting assistance with this and since 4624 is described as a logon and 4672 as a special logon which I cannot explain I am posing this question. Can anyone help?

I use Microsoft defender as my anti-virus and also the Windows Firewall. However, I have recently completed a trial with Norton 360 and neither anti-virus found any problem. Note that Norton 360 had been totally uninstalled with Revo uninstaller and Microsoft Defender re-enabled before I copied the messages that I listed above. Also, this problem started before I did the Norton 360 trial.

 

Notification sounds are missing!!!!

1. What is the make and model number of your computer?
   
2. Have you made any changes on your computer?
   

However, I suggest you to follow the below mentioned step:

1. Go to “Control panel”.
   
2. Select ‘Sound’.
   
3. Under sounds tab select ‘Program event’.
   
4. Under program event, select ‘Notification’.
   
5. Make sure you select ‘Notification’ sound for startup application and system notification.
