Windows 10: Windows Sandbox asks WDAGUtilityAccount's password

Hi.My OS version is Windows 10 Pro Version 21H2 Build 19044.1645In sandbox, setting shows Windows 10 Enterprise Version 2004 Build 19041.1645After some kind of sandbox tasks, I want to export Microsoft Edge's password.Then Windows Security asks WDAGUtilityAccount's passwordI cannot continue because of passwordI tried 'pw123'search googleand making another local account but it did not workHow can I do?

WDAGUtilityAccount

WDAGUtilityAccount and DefaultAccount are not replacing your user account, they are in addition to any other user accounts. They are necessary for the system to operate normally. DefaultAccount is a template for creating new user accounts and WDAGUtilityAccount is stated by the system to be "A user account managed and used by the system for Windows Defender Application Guard scenarios."

Neither account is active, nor should they be made so. Both accounts are managed by the system and should be left alone.








There are other system accounts besides these two. Open a command prompt and type NET USERS

The names will include: Administrator, DefaultAccount, Guest and WDAGUtilityAccount. A Pro system running Hyper-V will also include RDV GRAPHICS SERVICE. Any other names will be your normal user account or accounts.

There is a possibility that the feature is corrupted or not set up properly. I would advise you to disable Windows Sandbox first and then enable it. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Open Control Panel.
   
2. Then click on all Control Panel Items.
   
3. Then click on Programs and features.
   
4. Then on the left hand side, click on Turn Windows features on or off.
   
5. Then uncheck the option: Windows Sandbox.
   
6. Then restart your computer.
   
7. After restart, please enable it and check if the sandbox is working.
   

Also make sure that you meet all the requirements for Windows Sandbox.

We understand your concern as you are unable to stop the Windows Sandbox process.
Please try disable and re-enable sandbox to check the issue.

1. Press Windows + R key, then type appwiz.cpl and click Ok.
2. Click on Turn Windows features on or off from the left pane.
3. Uncheck the box beside Windows Sandbox and click
   OK.
4. Restart the PC and check.
