Windows 10: Windows Remediation Service missing

The service that enables all Windows updates to install is just gone, completely.And therefore, I cannot update Windows AT ALL. It was there, in C:\Program Files\rempl as it should be, but initially it simply would not work and I could not start the service manually in services. No error codes, just did nothing. So I ran the mainanence tool in Control Panel>System and Security>Security and MaintenanceAnd IMMEDIATELY it emptied out the rempl folder, and now Windows Remediation Serivce no longer exists.And as such, I cannot get updates.Now I would REALLY prefer not to reinstall windows or

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Can Windows Remediation System Service be scheduled?

Hello my name is Bradford and I'm an Independent Advisor for the Microsoft Community and I will try to resolve your problem with Windows R** Service.

The service is a background process that helps ensure the reliability of your computer. I recommend that you do not disable or alter it, as it cannot be scheduled to run.

However, in this case, because you stated that the service running is directly interfering with your ability to use your workstation please follow the steps below to disable the Windows Remediation Service. **Please keep in mind that if your user account on
your workstation is not already an "Administrator" you might not be able to complete this tutorial successfully.

1. Press "Windows Key + R" to open the "run" dialog box, type
services.msc and press enter on your keyboard.

2. Now scroll down and look for Windows Remediation Service (sedsvc) and Windows Update Medic Service (WaaSMedicSvc).

The "Windows Remediation Service" is set to Automatic and keeps running while "Windows Update Medic Service" is set to Manual and doesn't run unless triggered by another service or process.

3. Double-click on "Windows Remediation Service" and open its properties window.

4. Click on "Stop" button to immediately stop the service.

5. Now set "Startup type" to "Disabled" from the drop-down box and apply changes.

Now the Windows Remediation Service will be disabled until you manually enable it. On the next reboot, the service will not start since it is disabled. Please keep in mind that this might negatively affect the stability of your system.

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
