Windows 10: Windows plays last playing media when I turn off my headset and lock the pc

I very often experience an issue where Windows will start playing the last playing media when I turn off my headset and lock the pc. This is on my work pc where I have a lot of teams meetings. If I have been listening to music or viewing a video in my browser, Windows will start playing that. If I don't notice immediately and leave my pc, my colleagues will have to deal with my locked pc now playing music that they can't turn off.

Windows Media can not play music without bluetooth headset

my phone is a HTC touch cruise, WindowsMobile6.1.

it was no problem playing mp3 music before. i got a bluetooth stereo headset recently, and i connected it with the phone and tried play music via the headset and it worked. but after i turn off the headset windows media cannot play music any more. it always
popup with this 'Unspecified error' message. i restarted the phone but still cannot play. and when i connected the headset again it worked with the bluetooth again.

how can i get the player working without the bluetooth headset? i guess this may because the player still try to play via bluetooth while it is disconnected, but how can i set it back to normal?

I suggest you to follow the below steps to turn on auto play for DVD and check if it helps.

• Press “Windows+X”.
• Go to “Control panel”.
• Click on “auto play”.
• Under the tab “choose what happens when you insert each type of media or device” check the box “Use auto play for all media and devices”.
• Then under the option DVD you can select the appropriate option and check if it helps.

Step 1. Open with > choose another app




Step 2, click More apps





Step 3. scroll down to the bottom of the list to find Look for another app on this PC





Step 4. browse and find Windows Media Player wmplayer.exe then click Open
