Windows 10: Windows Installer not recognizing M.2 SSD but BIOS does

I want to install Windows on a 500GB M.2 SSD that I have on my ASUS TUF F15 laptop but the Windows Installer doesn't recognize the SSD when BIOS does. I have tried literally every solution i could find and nothing has worked so far but I feel like I am close to solving my issue. Any solution that involves accessing Windows is immediately thrown away.I have tried:adjusting the SSD position ensuring its securedtried formatting it in CMD but it doesn't appear on the disk list and is grayed out on the installertried using a different M.2 porttried resetting biostried enabling/disabling secure boot

Fresh Install of Windows 10 on new M.2 SSD not being recognized in BIOS

Hello, I recently got a new M.2 SSD that I installed in my motherboard on my desktop PC. I decided to do a fresh install of Windows 10 through USB installation media, which appeared to go smoothly. When rebooting into the installation, Windows Boot Manager
loads and gives me two options to boot to, Volume 6 and Volume 4 (Volume 6 being Windows 10 on the new SSD, I assume Volume 4 being Windows 10 on the old drive, which I had not yet reformatted). Booting this way works fine, however if I shut down the PC, remove
the old drive, then boot back up, the BIOS does not recognize any connected hard drive as having a bootable OS. If I go into the boot menu it recognizes that the M.2 is there in the boot order, but doesn't recognize a Windows installation on it.

For reference, I did select the correct hard drive during Windows installation, and the M.2 is formatted in GPT. If I reconnect the old drive it works fine. However, my plan was to wipe the old drive to free up space, and use the new one as the primary OS,
which currently I can't do if I can't boot with it soley.

Any ideas?

 

Crucial m.2 ssd not recognized by bios post windows 10 installation

Installed windows 10 pro on my crucial m.2 ssd 500gb as us z97 board and it was fine.

Drivers updated two monitors came to life with beautiful desktop. File explorer was different, login screen was nice, start button was crisp....I played. A little bit with it and went to work. Came back and found my pc in bios.

i immediately set everything to default. And found that my crucial m.2 ssd is nowhere to be found in my bios. Hence no OS to boot from.****???

a coincidence?

I popped in another crucial m.2 ssd and its fine. Going to attempt to install again and see if it repeats....... Stay tuned guys I may have found a problem.

 

SATA SSD and M.2 SSD

i was with a ssd sata and now i have ssd m.2, i formatted and put windows 11 in m.2, but i did not remove the ssd sata, i can only boot windows with the ssd sata connected, if i remove it windows does not boot to m.2



obs: windows was installed on m.2 but the ssd sata was still connected, but windows was 100% installed on m.2, is there any way I can set m.2 as primary? (when i removed the ssd sata it did not recognize windows)
