  1. Windows in second drive overwritten frist drive bootloader

I've installed an second drive with windows without disconnect the first one.As i read on this thread Prevent Windows from overwriting other OS's bootloader after the instalation, i know i overwrited the boot load from the first drive.I still have access to any file but i cant make it boot by repairing it¿Does it have any solution?I've tried to use bootrec and commands FixBoot and RebuildBCD but i had the access denied

    :)

    Set bootloader drive

For context, I have this PC which was running a dual-boot, one drive had the windows OS and bootloader and the other linux and it's bootloader. I no longer use the later in this PC so I decided to remove the linux SSD but when I tried to boot into windows I was met with GRUB which at no point was installed in that SSD.

Turns out that at some point windows decided to unprompted, and might I add annoyingly, move it's bootloader into the other drive leaving both windows dependent on the linux SSD, which I planned to remove, and linux unbootable (although that's an easy fix).

How do I revert the windows bootloader back to it's original drive and prevent windows from shuffling the bootloader in the future specially keeping it away from the HDDs?

    Maxtor Hard Drive Beep

    Maxtor drive beeps

Have a similiar situation using a DiamondMax Plus 8, 20GB Mfg Date 4/15/03. Drive used as a second system drive. Drive is recognized in boot menu but not in drive list. Drive is always connected. Computer started locking up for several seconds at a time. Chkdsk on drives and couldn't find that drive. Removed drive from bay to make sure connections were ok and heard the beeping. Shutdown and restart and never got to windows screen. Restarted several times then saw drive in boot menu and Windows loaded but Maxtor not in drive menu. When recognized in boot menu, computer will start but beeps and is not found.

Tried kicking it real hard but no improvement. Any suggestions?
