Windows 10: Windows explorer goes ballistic when moving my mouse sporadically

Discus and support Windows explorer goes ballistic when moving my mouse sporadically in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; Its really odd. I was wondering why the cursor was jittery and unresponsive at times. I opened up task manager and idle cpu usage is around 2-3% but...     Windows explorer goes ballistic when moving my mouse sporadically


    Its really odd. I was wondering why the cursor was jittery and unresponsive at times. I opened up task manager and idle cpu usage is around 2-3% but simply moving my mouse causes cpu usage to spike and I narrowed it down to windows explorer being the culprit. It goes up to 70% at times just with no other apps running besides moving my mouse and it is all windows explorer. I could start programs and have multiple up but it would still be using less resources than I'd just close them and start moving the cursor. Clicks don't cause it, keyboard doesn't cause it, only moving my mouse. I dont have another mouse laying around but I'm definitely looking into a replacement to test if it's a hardware issue. I'm completely stumped. Please help.

    Windows Explorer Replacement?

    are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
