    Windows Driver Update Breaks HP Hotkey Support


    I have a HP Elitebook 745 G5 with Windows 10 Pro 22H2 and I had manually installed HP hotkey support because Windows Update's keyboard driver doesn't had support for Fn functions. I worked well for a while, till Windows Update installed in second plane an update of HP keyboard and now it's broken. When I use the Fn functions, it appears a blank window of HP hotkey support & doesn't do anything else.I tried restarting, uninstalling last windows update I couldn't find out how to uninstall de driver update, deleting the driver and reinstalling... Nothing worked. Since I had a manual restore

    After Windows update, the HP Hotkey Support pop-up window appeared and the Fn button stopped working

    Greg, Thanks for the reply. Techwalla link: removed HP update step one; No startup program group step two;No HP listed step three.

    HP Support: No support for my HP laptop driver, same from AMD manufacturer.

    Windows Driver Update Breaks HP Hotkey Support

    HP Hotkey Service Error

    There are two HP drivers on their web site labelled HP Hotkey Service UWP (the one which crashes) and HP Hotkey service. I reinstalled the latter and it has been fine so far. I'm unsure what the difference is between these.
