I stopped my windows for rearranging from my 2 external monitors to my primary laptop display on sleep. Searched for "Screen saver" in Start menu search Selected "Blank" in Screen saver pull down Clicked "Apply" Clicked "Change power settings" Clicked "Create a power plan" Created My Custom Plan 1 or whatever you like to name it Clicked "Change advanced power settings" Selected Never for "turn off the display" in the Plugged in pull down. Expanded the "Display" button Expanded the "Turn off Display after" button Selected Never for "Plugged in" option Select OK I hope this

DisplayPort second monitor disconnects when it sleeps

I have 2 monitors, an HDMI and a DisplayPort. It seems that, by design, the DisplayPort disconnects when it sleeps. This causes all of the open windows on that monitor move to the HDMI monitor (because the DP monitor no longer exists). The only solution
is to not put the monitors to sleep.

Is there any preferred setting for keeping a monitor on 24/7/365? Should I put up a black screen saver? If not what can I do to not burn out my monitors by having them on. I also don't want them bright all night long.

Hello!!

I have a Lenovo M715q. I am trying to connect a ThinkVision E24 External monitor to the computer. It does not recognize it or detect it. I've updated all of the Drivers. The monitor only has a VGA and DisplayPort Cable Input. I have a DisplayPort
to DisplayPort cable connecting the monitor to my computer. I've tried going thru my BIOS, but Windows 10 does not have a Display option like Windows 7 where I could disable the Auto feature and enable multiple monitors. Any Ideas?
