Windows 10: windows desktop runtime setup failed 0x80070641

By the way I tried a lot of things like changing the windows installer startup type from manual to automatic in this user and in administrator and both didn't work for me so please just give me a solution.

.NET Desktop Runtime Setup Failed

I am attempting to install .NET Desktop Runtime because the game Baldurs Gate 3 requires it. I keep getting the following log file with the setup failed that cites an issue with the Temp folder. All drives on my PC have full control and plenty of space.

Based on the last few lines on the screenshot you have provided, it seems that the installer itself is corrupted.

Please try downloading and installing the installer again, and see whether the same error occurs.

If the issue still persists, since such files are downloaded in large numbers, you may be downloading from your ISP's cache. Try using a different network to download it, and see whether it is the same.

If it is, you can try using the previous (7.0.13) version.

Microsoft Desktop Runtime not working!

Hello there!

I got a new computer in two weeks and has been using it ever since.

I've tried installing the Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime 8.0.204, but as soon as I start the installation, it says, "setup failed" and spits out the code "0x80070652 - another installation is in progress." I've tried everything I can to try to fix it, but nothing is working. Any ideas?
