Windows 10: Windows Defender Scam Email

I got this email in my Spam folder. I have not been charged on any credit card for this amount. Hope this will help stop this type of activity. I did call the number and I did get through to a "John Foster" with Indian accent of course. I didn't give my real name and I gave him the account # on email. He said it was charged today 3/9/21 even though it said it was ordered on 3/6/21. He also claimed it was charged to a Visa card but he couldn't give me any information about that card. He claimed his company's name is Alpha Solutions LLC but wouldn't tell me where this was located.


I told him this was a fraudulent charge and email and will be reporting it, both to Microsoft and the BBB.

I received a scam email concerning Windows Defender Protection this morning which I did not call phone number listed. Just wanted to advise you of this email.

Hi there

this obviously could have been a big problem -- although it would seem to me a pretty obvious scam -- however so many people are very lax when it comes to email type scams I'm hardly surprised though.
