Windows 10: Windows Defender Remediation Incomplete - Status: Quarantine failed

Hello,Windows Defender found a virus on my computer, however, before I could deal with it on the Virus & Threat Protection tab the message regarding the virus disappeared. I've run both Quick Scan and Microsoft Defender Antivirus offline scan. Still, it shows "No current threats", yet on the Protection History tab, I can see a Remediation Incomplete on the virus. I checked the Download folder where the virus should be and the file is not there anymore. I want to be sure that I have quarantined and deleted the file, but I cannot be at ease with the Remediation Incomplete message. As of ri

Remediation Incomplete, Status: Failed after quarantine attempt. How to make sure threat eliminated?

I received an alert from Windows Defender that a trojan had been found. the actions available to me were “Quarantine” and “Remove”. I chose quarantine, and after a couple of minutes I was told “Remediation incomplete” and “Status: failed” But I don't have the option to try removing the threat or doing anything else.

I did a full scan, which didn't detect any threats. How can I be sure the Trojan has been removed?

Remediation Incomplete Message

I had a Trojan threat that indicated a virus was in Temporary files. I ran CCleaner to clear temporary files. I then checked Windows Security and it said my Virus and Threat Protection was ok. See screenshot.

Later, I rechecked Protection History and found the Remediation Incomplete message. See screenshot. I read that sometimes this message can appear after clearing a virus threat.

I ran CCleaner again and also Malwarebytes. I also did a Full scan on Windows Defender. In all scans they did not show I had any virus issues.

So, how should I treat the Remediation Incomplete message?
