Windows 10: Windows Boot Manager - Windows failed to start

Hi,


I was in msconfig and noticed startup said restrictive so I changed it back to normal, but after a reboot I get the error:-


Windows Boot Manager - Windows failed to start


When I try to select the OS it only lists 8.1 but my laptop is on Win10 1909 version and that is not listed.


When I try and select 8.1it errors and boots back to the Windows Boot Manager error screen again.


Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this?

My Windows 7 Start is Extremly SLOW

I'm seriously running thin on ideas. Try what FordGT suggested? Also if it is indeed a HDD/Network issue, you could maybe set up Windows Resource Manager to start at boot and look out for any weird HDD/Network activity.

Black screen after 'Starting Windows' sequence

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.
