Windows 10: Windows Aero Needs to be Brought Back

Hello. Even though it is indeed 2021 and barely anybody is talking about this anymore, I still want it back,

Windows Aero was probably one of the reasons that made Windows 7 such a loved operating system.

In my opinion, the Windows 10 UI is very bland, solid, and just boring in general. I want the feeling back of turning on my computer and being greeted with beautiful and modern UIs and just feeling... nice.

Yes of course Aero was being called "dated and cheesy", but is it that cheesy? Aero is still relatively new compared to what Windows ME had, so I don't see why it would be "dated". I feel that they are trying to cover up the sins they have committed with Vista due to Aero originating in Vista.

Microsoft, please add Aero back in the next Windows 10 update or in the next operating system all together, they could at least add something similar to Aero.

Eye candy isn't all that bad.

Aero

When I launched a program new window opened and it was suggesting to disable aero to get better performance, so i disabled aero. But now i want to turn on aero again but i can't or don't know how to do it. Is it posible to tur on back again? Help

 

Aero Glass

Windows 10 previews already brought back the aero ability. But you won't see it in many places, because the edges of windows where the clear glass would show are gone (there's no borders anymore, so there's nothing to even look like the glass in the first
place).

 

Taskbar Aero-Peek doesn't work with more than one window

Hi Alex,

Double check if Aero Peek is enabled:

• Click Start Menu
• In the search box, type in performance
• Select Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.
• Under the Visual Effects Tab, make sure the following are checked:

• Enable Aero Peek
• Enable desktop composition
• Use visual styles on windows and buttons

5. Click OK.

If that didn't work, run the Aero Troubleshooter.

• Click Start Menu
• Type in troubleshooting
• Press Enter
• Select Display Aero desktop effects
• Click Next.

Let the troubleshooter finish the process and it will restart the Aero Peek feature.
