    Error Code = 0x490

    After running Win7 repair I got a message that stated "Root Cause Found: Unspecified changes to system configuration might have caused the problem"

    Repair Action: System files integrity check & repair

    Result: Failed. Error Code = 0x490

    Is there a way to fix this problem, I am unable to boot up into windows.

    Startup Repair Error 0x490 in Windows 10 Home Version 1511

    I have a Dell Inspiron 5548 with Windows 10 Home Version 1511 installed. I have an issue where Windows will not boot. I ran Startup Repair and it said it couldn't repair my PC. I opened the log file and found the following root cause:

    A patch is preventing the system from starting.

    Repair action: System files integrity check and repair

    Result: Failed. Error code = 0x490

    Time taken = 1296219 Ms

    I have tried running sfc /scannow, chkdsk /r /f, and booting in safe mode with no success. Is there a way to make my PC boot again?
