    Windows 11 Update wont uninstall. KB5029263


    My PC automatically downloaded this security update, and it's blocking my WiFi recieving abilities. I'm able to "uninstall the update" but when i get back to the window it's suddenly re-installed. Does anyone know how to uninstall it and keep it uninstalled? I have a MSI GS66 Stealth if that helps.

    Update KB5029263 disabled Startup button and Search bar

    Hello,

    I am facing serious problem with Windows 11 after the August Update KB5029263 was installed.

    The Startup button is disabled, clicking it doesn't open the program list. Also the Search bar is disabled.

    I need someone to guide me in resolving this issue as I am not able to access my program list

    Windows 11 Home Update KB5029263 consistently failed

    The subject failure occured after trying EVERYTHING offered in MS forum and outside forums, short of installing and using 3rd party utility software, which I avoid. I emphasize I tried everything suggested, including update troubleshooter, disabling all non-MS services using msconfig, disabling all nonessential startup apps, uninstalling 3rd party antivirus, running obscure script in command prompt, using standalone updater, updating with no peripherals, and so on. All update attempts in settings stalled at 50% install progress and returned "install error - 0x8000ffff" Standalone update returned "..the following updates were not installed ....KB5029263" I am running a Surface Pro 8 with Windows 11 Home 22H2. I was able to finally fix by re-installing Windows 11, which was a pain. Has anyone else had this problem?
