    Windows 11 update not supporting i7-4790k?


    I am a bit shocked that this CPU doesn't meet the requirements to run Windows 11. Even though this is somewhat old 2014, its actually a very high-performing CPU and my computer currently perform quite fast, so I don't see a need to upgrade the CPU. I believe its not supported because its an older generation.What is the reality in the practice of using such a CPU? Is there literally no support and drivers for these older generations of CPUs? Presumably, it would still work, even though its not recommended. Is it truly not going to run at all on Windows 11?It probably will still perform quite

    Windows 11 does NOT support an i7 processor??

    There are ways and means to install Windows 11 on so called "unsupported CPU's" also without the TPM. I have Windows 11 installed on an Intel i7 4790K without a TPM. Runs perfectly fine and am also getting All the monthly updates.
