    Windows 11 Randomly Freezing when left Idle


    My PC has randomly started freezing when left idle overnight. Ive tried doing a clean install of windows and updated the motherboard bios but no success. Im at a loss trying to figure this one out. Here are my specs CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor 24 CPUs, ~3.7GHz RAM: 65448MB RAM GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Motherboard: ASUS B550-F Wifi OS Version: Windows 11 23H2 OS Build 22631.2861 I can see the time in task viewer that it does this. "Event 6008, the previous system shutdown at 6:30:37 AM on 12/30/2023 was unexpected.", but it never gives me a valid reason

    Windows freezes when left idle

    Hi. I just wanna ask why does my laptop freezes when i left it idle? It's just randomly freezes and restart then when i left it untouch it's frozen again. Imusing windows 10 1709

    I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
    Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
    I had tried that as well... no result.

    Windows hard freezing when left idle.: Edit: Fixed. Turns out it was a bad/corrupted file in one of my games that was freezing the defrag process. It was slipping past the scans and the game in question was running perfectly fine. There's a more detailed explanation on page 3 of the thread. What the title says....
