I have a desk top pc that I have been using for 2 years. It has an ASUS Prime Z790 A- Wi-Fi mother board & i7 intel 13th generation processor. I decided to upgrade my hard drive to a 2TB ssd sata 2.5" HD. I have tried to install a Samsung & TeamGroup with same 2TB & speed. The same windows 11 I downloaded to the 3.5" HD, that still works in same pc, was downloaded in these two 2.5" HD's. The windows 11 was downloaded very fast to both HD's separately. After downloading it went to the window to get on internet to finish setting up device. Doesn't let you go any further. Reset fiber

Need to deploy windows update to PCs connected on LAN that do not have internet access

Hi

I have a few Windows 10 PCs that do not have internet access.

I need to ensure that these PCs have the latest Windows 10 updates and the latest Defender definitions.

What are my options to achieve this? I can connect an additional Windows 10 PC to the internet, this PC would have internet access and can download the definitions and updates.

All PCs are connected to each other on a private LAN. This LAN doesn't have any internet access.

The additional Windows 10 PC will have multiple ethernet ports and will be part of multiple LANs, and the internet will coming through one of these LANs.

 

5610 T-Mobile doesn't allow applications access to internet

The exact error I get is, "application access set to not allowed". I downloaded a third party application that attempts to access the internet for information, but my T-Mobile branded phone does not allow it.

What do I need to change in order to fix this problem?

 

Configure Wireless Access Point

I have an existing network using a Buffalo N300 wireless router configured as 192.168.11 and 255.255.255

I have recently purchased a Sony Bravia TV with internet capability and would like to connect a second router – the Belkin F5D-8233 – as an access point for the TV. As I already have the router, it is cheaper than me purchasing the Sony wireless dongle.

Essentially, the Buffalo is connected to my PC in one room and provides the internet access. The Belkin would be in another room, connected via Ethernet to the TV.

I have set the Belkin up to use 192.168.11.10 with the same SSID and security settings as the Buffalo. I have also set it up as an Access point.

I have connected the Belkin and the Buffalo together via the Ethernet LAN ports to try and do an initial configuration but I cannot see the Belkin when I do this even though the LAN ports light up.

Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to configure the Belkin so that it gets internet access wirelessly in the other room?

I have been able to confure the TV so that it sees and connects to the Belkin but obviously this is of little use unless it can connect to the internet through that connection.
