    Windows 11 - Minimum Processor State setting not saving.


    I updated my HP Omen - 9th Gen i7 - to Windows 11 a month or so ago. I am having a weird problem with the power setting Minimum Processor State: Plugged In. I have it set to 50% and Apply it. However, it constantly reverts to 100% on boot. It never saves the setting. I have the Maximum Processor State: Plugged In set to 95%. This one stays set. Yes I have it set to 95% to cut 10 degrees off the processor at load. No I don't notice performance issues while gaming. I have been doing this for years.So my laptop fights with itself trying to get to 100% while also trying to stay under 95% every t

    What's the recommended minimum processor state?

    I just found this useful discussion about minimum processor state. I used to have a asrock H170m mainboard that able to set
    min processor sate inside bios. My current gigabyte b450 pro wifi motherboard does not have this feature in bios.
    I went into power option and found that min processor state at 99%. After switching power plan from balance to power saving and back, the min processor state is at 5%.*Smile
