Windows 10: Windows 11 Media Player Not Showing Artist Art

Hello!I have been using the new Media Player in Windows 11.There were a lot of problems with it, but now as of 7.3.2023, most problems have been fixed.Still, there is an issue which has not been resolved for me yet.The Artists artwork is not showing at all.Does any of you have similar issue?

No album art in Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 10

I tried restoring my media library. It deleted all my music and closed. I reopened and it added all my music back but still not the album art. The album art still only shows when I click on Artist on the column to the far left of the media player.
Any other suggestions?

 

Groove Shows Unknown Artist & Unknown Album


I solved it by doing the following! I'm not sure which step cracked the problem.

1. Set indexing to index the content of my music files by right clicking on the top level folder, setting the option and applying to all files and sub-folders
2. Rebuilt the index via the Control Panel Indexing options
3. Deleted the folders watched in Groove
4. Deleted the Groove database at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.ZuneMusic_<random>\LocalState\Database
5. Started Groove
6. Reassigned the folders to watch

All songs now appear with the right artist & album but some album art was missing in Groove and Media Player despite being displayed correctly in iTunes. I manually updated the missing album art in Media Player and Groove then synchronised to match the Media Player album art.

I HAVE WINDOWS 10 ,

AND I INSTALLED THE NEW WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER WHICH REPLACES GROOVE MUSIC . Version 11.2209.30.0

IN IT THERE IS A FEATURE WHICH DOWNLOADS MISSING ARTIST ART. MEANS ARTISTS PICTURES.

BUT SOME ARTIST ART IS NOT DOWNLOADED OR IT IS NOT IN DATABASE.

SO HOW TO ADD IT MANUALLY ?
