    I recently discovered that JPEG images that I am sure have 300 DPI in quality suddenly started showing as 96 DPI when opening them in the Photos app. I've also checked the properties on the JPEG file, and there it also shows 96 DPI. When I open the exact same file on my other laptop that is running on Windows 10, it shows 300 DPI both in Photos app and under file - properties.I am 100% sure that my Windows 11 laptop also displayed 300 DPI on the JPEGs before so something has happened at some point.Does anyone have any clue to why this is happening?PS.     How do I set to 96 dpi in Windows 10

    I figured it out myself and for others who want the answer please read the following.

    Please follow the procedure below to change the dpi to 96 in Window 10.

    • On the desktop page right click and chose View.
    • from the submenu chose Small Icons.
    • Your display resolution is set to 96 dpi.

    Thank you Elise,

    Someone suggested using GIMP, a free app, and I found that it is easier to change photo resolution to 300 dpi.
