    Windows 11 - Indexing is paused. Indexing does not work.


    Search indexing is not working/updating. It continually stays paused. This is greatly affecting my use of Outlook / search functions.I see the attached error "Indexing is paused"Windows search service is running.Running Windwos 11 Home , 23H2 version.Can someone assist here?

    Indexing is pausing Automatically

    We have found issue with the indexing in Windows 11.

    Indexing has been paused automatically.

    Already checked the following steps.

    1) Troubleshoot Search & indexing issue by Windows Troubleshoot

    2) Restarted Windows Search Service in services.msc

    3) Restarted & Updated

    After these steps the system index for an while.

    But It will pause automatically after a while.

    Please help me to find a solution.

    Issue show on almost all Windows 11 PC which is recent upgraded from Windows 10 Home version.

    window 11 indexing is pause

    i managed to solve this issue (indexing is paused automatically) by doing the following steps:-

    1. check if you have any "weird" windows update file "Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5004567) or Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5004567)" or etc & you can't find it in the microsoft update catalog installed in your windows 11 device

    2. If yes, remove it

    3. Reboot device (If after reboot, still not working, then rebuild your indexing)

    I am facing a critical issue with Microsoft 11.

    I have tried rebuilding the index several times and unchecked everything in the index, but it still shows "indexing is paused" after running for a while.

    This problem is affecting my job, and I regret upgrading to Microsoft 11. I have noticed that many other people have faced the same error.

    The suggested solution to rebuild the index does not work, and I have spent several hours trying to solve this issue without any success.

    Can you please suggest a fix or a known reason for this issue? I would appreciate any help in this matter.
