Windows 10: Windows 11 - How do I stop it asking me to change PIN

Hi I keep searching this forum but can't find a solution that works . I want to disable having to change my PIN , I live alone and my laptop has never left my house since I bought it why on earth would I need to change my PIN every 60 days !!!. I have followed the rather complicated instructions to get to the registry but I don't have the Expiration option I am assuming that I have previously deleted it but her I am having to change my stupid PIN again ...Really frustrated . Not user friendly at all ..Thanks for any help

1. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
   
2. Type "netplwiz" (without quotes) and press Enter.
   
3. In the User Accounts window that opens, select your user account.
   
4. Uncheck the option that says "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
   
5. Click Apply and enter your current password if prompted.
   
6. Click OK to close the User Accounts window.
   

Please be aware that disabling the sign-in requirement can potentially reduce the security of your computer. If you choose to do so, ensure that you have other security measures in place to protect your system and data.

Windows 10 Xbox App asking for PIN number I never set.

Hi,

If you signed in to Windows 10 using your Microsoft account, the Xbox app will take the credentials you've used to sign in. There's a possibility that the PIN code you're asked to enter is the PIN code of your Windows 10 user account. Let's remove the PIN
code. Here are the steps:

• Click Start and select Settings.
• Select Accounts.
• Select Sign-in options, under PIN, click
  Remove.
• Confirm the changes by entering your profile password.

If the same instance occurs after removing the PIN code and changing your user account's sign-in options, we suggest that you sign in to
Xbox.com. This is to verify if there's an issue with your Xbox account.

I suggest you to go through the below steps and check if it helps.

Follow these steps to set up a PIN on your Windows User Account:

• 
  Press the Windows +S key combination to display the Search box.
  
• 
  Type the word pin into the Search box, then click
  Set up PIN sign-in.
  
• 
  Find the “PIN” section and click the Add button.
  
• 
  Type in the password for your User Account, then click the
  Ok button.
  
• 
  Select and enter a 4 digit numeric pin, then enter it again for confirmation.
  
• 
  Exit the PIN setup utility.
  

From now on you’ll be able to log in to your Windows account by entering your 4 digit PIN instead of your password.



You can change your PIN at any time by following the steps below:

• 
  Press the Windows +S key combination to display the Search box.

  Type the word pin into the Search box, then click Set up PIN sign-in.

  Find the “PIN” section and click the Change button.
