    File Manager does not consider all files & folders while calculating the size Right click --> Properties. When I checked further, found that files & folders without Read access are excluded from the calculation. Which other types of files & folders are excluded? Please clarify.Windows 11, 21H2

    • How did you added file count column for folders in File Explorer? What are the steps did you followed?
    • When you say, "actual file count is not displaying" is this issue specific to any folder or happening with all folders?

    Windows 11 File Manager reports wrong file count & folder size [​IMG]

    As you can see from the images above, File Explorer reports that the Windows directory is 2.47GB in size, but if I check the size of one of the sub-directories in the Windows folder (in this case the WinSxS folder), it reports a size of 6.01GB. How can the Windows folder be only 2.47GB if just one of its sub-folders is 6.01GB? Clearly this isn't accurate, is anyone else experiencing this issue and is there a way to remedy it?

    Hello,

    I found several cases reporting the same bug on the Internet but did not find a solution so far.

    I have Windows 10 home edition on my PC and File Explorer > Properties reports wrong file count and folder volume if the folders that have subfolders.

    Does anybody know how to fix this bug?
