Windows 10: Windows 11 does not recognize my internal laptop computer microphone input.

Split from this thread. Windows 11 does not recognize my internal laptop computer microphone input. I have no other mikes. All previous fixes noted above have been tried. Audio drivers up to date. Doing this fixed the sound input to recognize the internal audio Realtek on an Asus laptop, but not the microphone. Cannot videoconference on Zoom, Teams, etc. at all. Is Microsoft trying to force everyone to Skype? I don't choose what software others use for conferencing! Please help ASAP today. Thank you.

Internal Microphone; Gone After Windows 10 Upgrade

My internal laptop microphone worked until I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I first noticed upon entering a Zoom meeting and no recording devices were recognized. This was one day after successfully using the microphone with Windows 7. Here are observations
from what I've tried:

• I have allowed mic access in privacy settings
  
• There's no input device found in the sound settings
• I can't "test" the microphone because it's not recognizing one
• When I "troubleshoot," the device list shows two microphones; however, it refers to audio jacks, not an internal microphone
• I went to the Device Manager to see if I could update the microphone drivers; however, no drivers are listed here to update

I'm at a loss for next steps. How do I get Windows 10 to recognize the microphone in my laptop following the Windows 10 upgrade?

 

Computer won't recognize headset microphone

This is what i see in device manager. Im not sure if the Speakers/Headphones (Realtek High Definition Audio) is the one your saying to disable, as that is what is default in playback devices in the sounds panel.

Setting Stereo Mix as the default recording device and disabling everything else still didnt get the mic working, even when the headset is plugged into the microphone only audio port or the mic + sound audio port.

 

Audio input coming from internal laptop instead of microphone in headset.

I need help with fixing where audio input is coming from. I am using red A10 gaming headset and sometimes, my computer gets audio input from its internal microphone instead of the microphone on my headset.
