Windows 10: Windows 11 and issues regarding USB connections

A few days ago I began having issues with connecting my Xbox One controller via cable to my desktop PC. It would push a popup saying that the USB port was not providing enough power and it would then disconnect my standing microphone and headset. I would restart and the same thing happened several times. Now last night my standing microphone disconnected randomly. It was still powered however. I reselected it as my primary input and it was fine for a minute or two and then disconnected and reconnected again, although it didn't register me speaking. 1. Do you see network signals showing as connected in the taskbar?
   
2. May I know the model of the Vodafone modem you are using?
   

Please refer to
Mobile Broadband Software for Windows 10 for the list of modem models which support Windows 10. We would suggest you to download the software utility from the article and check if it resolves the issue.



We would also suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to check for the drivers for modem.

1. Connect the USB modem.
   
2. Open Device Manager by searching for it in search bar.
   
3. Locate and expand Universal serial bus Controllers in the list.
   
4. Check if the driver are displayed under the tree.

USB modem connectivity issues

Now before proceeding any further, I would like to confirm a couple of things.

• Did you check if an updated software for the USB dongle is available?
• Are you referring to connectivity or the browsing experience which lags?
• Did you check if similar issues occur when you connect the USB dongle to another computer?
• Did you check if disabling network resource hungry background applications/utilities helps?

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to follow these steps to run the Windows in built troubleshooter and check if it helps to identify the issue or even possibly fix it.

a) Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.

b) Click on Troubleshooting
tab.

c) Click on view all option on the upper left corner.

d) Select the Internet Connection option from the list.

e) Click Next to run the Troubleshooter.

• Did you try another device to connect to your computer using USB tethering?
• Are you able to view that your phone is connected on the Windows Explorer?
