Windows 10: Windows 11 activation on VM's - where can I find the license keys ?

Just purchased 4 Windows 11 Home Edition licenses in the App Store through the "Activate Now" link in the Win11 settings. I am installing these on 4 different Virtual Machines so I DONOT have a pre-owned PC or a Win10 license.One of the VM's just crashed, so I had to re-install it ... and now if I want to activate that copy of Win11, I need to enter the license key since I don't want to buy 5th copy. However, I can't find the license keys on any of the 4 order confirmations ... where can I find them ???Anyone who can help or put me in contact with MS Support would be greatly appreciated

Windows Server 2016 Standard VM Licensing

Hello

I have a physical server that I already installed windows server 2016 on and activated using an OEM license.

If I create 2 VMs using hyper V, can I activate the 2 VMs using the same license key I used to activate the physical server with?

Second question, if I need two additional VMs, can I buy another Oem license, to activate the other 2 newly created ones and have a total of 4 activated VMs ?

That's the way it works with Windows 10 & 11 digital licenses. The product key is only used to obtain the digital license. Once the digital license is created and stored on Microsoft Activation Servers, the original product key used to obtain that digital license is worthless for that same computer or VM.

Do not delete the VM. Keep the VM itself as it will now always have that digital license for that edition of Windows 10 & 11. You can delete and re-attach new virtual disks to it at will and that won't affect the digital license.

 

Windows 10 VM activation

I am trying to setup two Windows 10 vms for test purposes on Ovirt virtualization cluster. (Windows 10 Pro with MAK key from visual studio (MSDN) subscription).

Activation of the first vm encountered no problem, but activation of the second one failed. I have tried to setup second vm by all available means (by cloning from the first one with or without sysprep, from activated state or from clean installed snapshot,
by installing second vm from scratch, etc.). All are with the same results: The last product key you entered XXXXX can't be used on this copy of Windows (0xC0EA0003).

Is it possible to have several Win 10 vms on the same hypervisor, activated with MAK key?

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
