Windows 10: Windows 11 22H2 update KB5022303 fails with error 0x80070002

I have now tried to update Windows 11 for several weeks, unsuccessfully, for my SurfaceBook3.I have tried to update the 2022 and 2023 versions of the 22H2 update.I already got different error messages, the latest of which being `0x80070002`.I troubleshot using:- Windows Troubleshooter- `Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth`- `sfc /scannow`- restart windows update and related services see below for more details- Create Windows 11 Installation Media and Install via ISO fileSee 149 FIX Windows Update KB5022303 Not Installing or Downloading In Windows 11 - YouTube for more information on

Windows 11 Update KB5022303 fails to install

Windows 11 on my Intel NUC won't install the 22H2 Cumulative Update (KB5022303). I've tried what others have suggested - the troubleshooter, manually stopping and starting everything, updated BIOS and drivers. It downloads the update but keeps failing during installation, with the error code 0x8007000d and states some files may be missing or have problems. I downloaded the update for manual install, but it fails saying it was not installed and does not give a reason.

Any more suggestions please?

No luck with standalone MSU installer too, it goes wrong with the following error in eventvwr:

Cumulative update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 keeps failing (KB5022303)

Hi, can anyone explain (in non-technical language) how to fix a problem with cumulative update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 - it keeps failing (KB5022303).

I tried the update trouble shoot and it said it fixed something but it still didn't install. It downloads then gets to 50% installed and then fails.

I also tried other things. Nothing seems to work. The trouble shooter said there is a problem with BITs service - "requested service has already been started." It says more help available by typing NETHELPMSG.System.Management.Automation.RemoteException - but I am not a tech person - where would I type that? I don't know what BITS is. But it said it fixed it so I thought a retry would work, but it didn't, even after a re-start.
