    Windows 10 will Not Screen Mirror to Roku Stick


    I have tried multiple solutions to try and screen mirror my Windows 10 PC to my tv via Roku Stick. My PC has Miracast with HDCP. I have tried connecting through the Action Center and Settings. The PC initiates a connection with the Roku Stick. I select Allow on Roku and it shows that it starts to connect and then after a few minutes I receive a "Can't Connect try going through the Action Center" which is how I initiated the connection in the first place. I have tried going through Connect and Project. I have seen a downloadable solution through WindowsBulletin but I am reluctant to download anything from third party.

    Need Help screen mirroring to roku stick

    Ive done all the steps like enabling screen mirroring on my roku stick and then adding my roku as a device to my PC but then I dont know how to mirror from there

    Hello There,

    I think the
    Roku Support     site would benefit you more with your problem as it seems that the Roku is playing up, not the PC.

    But I'm going to extract the things I've read on this Roku Support Page (Roku)

    Judging by what you've said, I think the Roku isn't willing to be connected to. This can be for a few reasons.

    • You don't have screen mirroring enabled
    • Go to Settings>System.
    • Go to Screen mirroring (beta).

    Ensure that "Enable screen mirroring" is checked.

    2. Your Roku device isn't connected to the same network as your device.

    3. Your Roku device might not be updated to the latest firmware

    Settings>System>System update

    4. You've got Roku 1 (But you've got a Roku Stick so ignore this)

    Unable to mirror to Roku stick

    I was able to mirror my screen to my Roku stick once and watch a movie but since then every time I try to connect it the computer does not find the Roku stick. I have both on and it's not showing up. I've restarted my computer and rebooted the Roku but it
    still does not show up. I tried to see if I would be able to connect through my Lumia 735 and again the Roku stick is not showing up. I also tried adding the Roku back and the computer can't even locate the Roku, even though it's on.

    Can anyone help me figure out how to connect to my Roku or get it to show up?
