Windows 10: Windows 10 Various apps/functions don't work, KERNELBASE.DLL error

As of a couple months ago, the taskbar calendar the one you get by clicking the date/time in the bottom right corner stopped working, and Event Viewer brings up an error pertaining to "KERNELBASE.dll". I tried all sorts of fixes like sfc /scannow, DISM tool, etc and even did an In-Place Upgrade of Windows 10, but nothing fixed it.Now, other parts of Windows are having the same issue, also pointing to KERNELBASE.dll. Microsoft Store app doesn't work; it opens and then crashes after just a few seconds.I can't add other user accounts to this computer; the window opens for 1 second and then cl

• What is the complete error message/ error code of this issue?
• What exactly do you mean by: "my incredimail stoped working"?
• When exactly do you get these errors?

As a workaround, I suggest you to install all the pending updates after upgrade to Windows 10.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.
