Windows 10: Windows 10 user name changing

I followed the directions that were posted on the forums did all of that but the name would change after I okayed everything. I went to change my account type to the system owner or something similar to that and next thing I know I go to change my name hoping that would fix the problem. this only made the problem worse now I can't change my user name and it comes up as that I'm a guest and can't change anything. Is there anything I can do? Also if the OS is supposed to be user-friendly why is it so hard to change your name?

I would suggest you to go through the below steps:

Steps: To determine the user account type:

• 
  Login to any account.
  
• 
  Press Windows key+X.
  
• 
  Click on Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on User accounts.
  
• 
  Your user account will show and below that it will show your local account or admin account.
  
• 
  Once you know about the account type.
  
• 
  You can go to user account and change the name.
  
• 
  Press Windows key+R.
  
• 
  Type netplwiz and press enter.
  
• 
  Select the account and click on properties.
  
• 
  Change the user name and click on apply and then ok and one more time click on ok on the main screen.

  Reboot the computer and check if it helps
