Windows 10: Windows 10 Updates - Error code 0xc00000fd

Hi.


I have been trying for days to update Windows 10 on my PC. I have googled the problem and tried to resolve it by following solutions provided but nothing has helped. I have also disabled automatic updates. The last successful update was 1709. Since then all updates i.e. 1803, 1903 and 2004 have all failed to install. The error code is 0xc00000fd and the error message is:

Windows Update 1809 Fails - Error 0xc00000fd

* RAM was upgraded a year or two back. I used to Crucial System Scanner and got memory from them.

The system had 4GB - I added another 4GB.

How are they mismatched? Would be interesting to know.

* Malwarebytes uninstalled.

* Backup done.

* System Restore done.

* Re/ those two network cards that are disabled - this is deliberate. These are used as a backup if need be.

* There should be no overclocking.

I just brought a refurbished computer and my Windows update assistant gives me the Error Code: 0xc00000fd. My computer will not let me access Microsoft Office Home & Student 2016. The Error message tells me to contact Microsoft for assistance.
