Windows 10: Windows 10 Update KB5055518 failing to install with the error "0x8007000d"

Hey all,Recently I decided to update my computer running windows 10, getting the latest stability update for April 18th, 2025. After it installed for a lengthy while Had to wait around 6~ minutes for it to crawl to 100% It suddenly came up with 0x8007000d error in question. Of course, I crawled my way through forums such as this in an attempt to both rationalize and attempt to find the root of the problem. First, I attempted to run the troubleshooting system-- And it had apparently both found and got rid of the problem, according to itself. Tried again after and it still came up with the sam

Windows 10 Update Error 0x8007000d when installing KB5007186

Had a problem since this update was released. Tried to install many times. 2021-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems (KB5007186) FAILED: 0x8007000d



Steps I have already taken to resolve the issue: Windows 10 Update Troubleshooter: Did not find any issues; sfc/scannow: Windows Resource Protection: Found issues with first time I ran it. I rebooted and ran it again, did not find any integrity violations. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth: The restore operation completed successfully. Re-installation using standalone Windows Installer MSU file (downloaded from Windows Update Catalogue): Installation failed. deleted all files from C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download: It did not help. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks. -JP

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
