Windows 10: Windows 10 Personalization Issue: Save Theme button was replaced to Use Custom Theme

Hi, I'm having issues with themes on my laptop. The "Save Theme" button was replaced with a "Use Custom Theme" button and I can't save or add any new ones or update my existing ones. I tried using explorer.exe shell:::{ED834ED6-4B5A-4bfe-8F11-A626DCB6A921} option already but I still can't add or save any new custom themes. Can I ask for some help? My laptop specs are: Edition Windows 10 Home Single Language Version 22H2 Installed on ‎4/‎27/‎2022 OS build 19045.5247 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19060.1000.0 Processor 11th Gen IntelR CoreTM i5-11400H @ 2.70GHz 2.69 GHz I

No custom theme created when modifying theme - "Save theme" button not present

Hi,

I'm trying to create a theme for my PC, however on the Settings page the "Save theme" button is not present. Instead, there is a "Use a custom theme" button which, when pressed, seems to swap me in and out of one of the High Contrast themes. Is there any
way I can get the Save theme button back please?

windows 10 how do I save a custom theme AND how do I delete a theme

Hi,

To assist you better about your issue in renaming a rheme, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

• Go to all settings.
• Click personalization.
• Click themes and go to theme settings.
• Go to Desktop Background.
• Rename your theme.

In deleting your save theme, you can go to your desktop and remove it. But you cannot delete the default theme.

Deleting a custom theme in personalization/themes

I can't find a way to delete a custom theme. I replace the background with a picture and 10 min. later the theme photos return. Even when I choose another theme it only lasts 10 minutes before reverting back. HDI delete this persistent theme?
