Windows 10: Windows 10 - Manually invoked Screen Saver and Events 4802, 4803

Hello!


I am working on scheduling a task based on event 4803, but I have come to the understanding that it is only created when the Screen Saver is invoked by timeout rather than manually running a .scr file. Is this by design? Is there a way to manually invoke the screensaver and have it create the 4803 event when it is dismissed?

Invoke screen saver manually

Is there a way that I can start my screen saver manually? Preferably with a mouse gesture. There used to be a shareware program that would invoke the screen saver when I moved the mouse to the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

Windows 10 "Bubbles" Screen Saver

On Windows 7 the screen saver didn't go to a black screen but it showed the desktop. Not getting that with Windows 10. Whats the deal? Have GTX750Ti

Here is what I want: Same access / functionality as in Win 8.1. That is:

• Right-click empty desktop space.
• Select "Personalize"
• Get a window with the same screen saver options (turn on / off, select a "screen saver"...) that in Windows 10, Microsoft is forcing me to access through Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Personalization ->Change Screen Saver.

The Windows 8.1 two-step process was a much more user-friendly "experience" than is the Windows 10 four-step process.
