Windows 10: Windows 10 Background - they aren't keeping track of likes and dislikes

I like mountains, snow, and ice. I don't like anything tropical or urban. Why do I keep seeing background photos with palm trees or skyscrapers?

Well, I don't use a tablet.
My PC is listed in specs.
The OP was expressing a dislike of a white explorer background.
Someone else posted it was necessary to edit the registry to make changes.
Still others suggested it is a good idea to use a shell replacement ?
And another thought recompiling the explorer.exe binary using an editor makes sense ?

Using high contrast, it is easy
and a simple few clicks to make all kinds of changes.

It is also easy and simple to switch from default non colorized theme
to high contrast mode. (one click)

CHANGING BACKGROUND, NO LONGER WITH NAME OF LOCATION & LIKE OR DISLIKE

My wife and I enjoyed seeing various locations in the world that were identified by name and or location. We were also able to indicate whether we liked or disliked the background provided which allowed us to view more of the type we preferred.
Now we only receive backgrounds that we have to guess at where and what it maybe with no ability to indicate whether we like or dislike it!!

Which company may we contact to express our displeasure and request a return to the prior background we received, had a pleasure viewing and would intertain the desire to actually visit the location.

 

Icons from apps aren´t displayed correctly






The native apps from the system are all showing this strange square instead of the normal icons. Please help resolve this problem. Thanks
