    Windows 10 and Sabrent docking station not reading Western Digital hard drive


    I just purchased a Lenovo PC with Windows 10 and a Sabrent docking station to transfer my files off my Western Digital harddrive.

    It was recognized at first and I copied over several files however when I tried to access the My Documents folder on the WD harddrive it stopped working and I cannot get Windows 10 to show the external drive in Explorer.


    When I go to Device Manager it shows the Sabrent Docking station and says it is working properly but is not showing the WD drive information.


    I need help please.

    Sabrent Docking Station Driver?

    I recently purchased a Sabrent Dual Docking Station to use with a Seagate 4TB hard drive. I intended to use this to backup the Raid system on my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Computer. I went through the recommended method of Initializing the Drive using the Docking
    Station and that all seemed to go through with no problem, but when I came to Formatting the drive Windows would not format the Drive. Eventually I got so cheesed off I formatted the drive internally and now it all works as it should on the Dock Station.

    My question is therefore how do I Format Drives in future using the docking station without having to connect the drive internally?

    Western Digital Passport hard drive does not read on Windows 10.

    I've tried my hard drive on a HP laptop with Windows Vista and it works. On my HP Windows 10 PC the light comes on and the hard drive is spinning but not reading. There's no acknowledgement of the connection by Win 10 PC I've contacted Western Digital
    and they could not help and I've contacted support services for Microsoft and nothing they suggested works. Has anyone figured out how to get a Win 10 PC to read a USB WD hard drive?
